My Meghan

Megs, Meghans, Meg pie, megghhhaaannnn, how ever you call her but to me her name is MY MEGHAN!

Not many people in there lifetime get to have a best friend.  I am one of the lucky ones cause i have my Meghan! she is not only my best friend, she is my sister, my children s god mother, my husbands best friend, and the best woman I know!

She has helped me though hard times. She has been through all the good times! Not one Memory I have in the last few years that do not have her in them!

                                                She has cried with me, i have cried with her!
                                                  If EVER I CALL HER night or Day you bet your
                                                                  sweet ass she is there

              She has floated down a tube or two next to me, somehow we survived it with out drowning!
                                        She has always made room for me, or included me

                                            She has been camping with me on countless events!

                                       She loves fishing with me and doing all that red neck jazzz

 
                                         She never complains, she is always happy,
                           and did i mention she has the MOST BEAUTIFUL smile have ever seen!

               She is confident and independent. She is beautiful and no man is worthy of her in my eyes!
          She is not afraid to get up and sing Karoyke with me, screaming at the top of our lungs, which by the way alway s sounds beautiful!

She watched my daughter Rylee be born, and after i looked at her,(expecting her to be hurling in the corner, or passed out on the floor) to find her crying tears of joy and saying that it was the most beautiful thing she had seen.  and then said ok lets do it again! (easy for her to say i had ry NATURALLY)

I only wish i could be half the friend to her as she is to me! i love her so much words cannot even come close to tell you.

She drove through an ice storm to sit in the hospital in baylor while my dad was in icu just to be there for me.

she is getting better at changing dirty diapers and wiping snotty noses.!(mind you that when i met her and hannah would sneeze the great snot sneeze it would take every thing from her to keep her from throwing up while dry heaving!)

8 years ago i married my best friend, but lets start from square one............

I had gone to a party at our friends Jason's house and saw this red headed guy that was making joke after joke keeping me laughing the entire night, mind you he was not even talking to me or in the same room but my conversation interest was always directed toward him.  every time i went to Jason's house to hang out i would hope he would be there just to say hi to me! And he always did acknowledge the fact i was there, with a smile or some way to get my attention by making me laugh at his jokes or commenting on my pimping red mini van!!  i was a 17 year girl that was crushing on 21 year old guy who thought... why would a 21 year old be even slightly interested with me??

Well....... I can honestly tell you the moment i knew he had to be mine, the moment i knew that this man who always kept a smile on my face, lit my face up just by walking into a room, made and still makes my heart skip a beat by a crack of a smile was one special moment. i remember like t was yesterday,  i was sitting on the coach the first to arrive with my girl CJ to a Halloween party and in walks my crush (who still has no idea i think that i have a huge crush)  Wearing a girls wig and a dress with Jason Carter!  I laughed so hard!! that was the moment ladies and gents! that was the moment i knew he had to mine! Romantic huh?
I got talked into a bon fire in feb! it was cold i remember that!   Well up strolls my red neck in his pearl snap and asked me to dance! my heart stopped right then and there as Neon moon played in the back round, funny how woman always remember the details! We met back up with Jason and the gang back at his house and as my curfew set in he walked me to my pimping red mini van, embarrassed as hell i was not looking forward to having to crawl in through the passenger side door of it cause that was the ONLY door that worked !!!!!  but before i could explain he took me in his arms and layed THE WORST KISS OF MY LIFE right on me!!!!!!!!!!!  LOL it was sweet i guess but his tongue went straight down my throat! maybe some one had to much to drink, maybe he was nervous i don't know but it was def unforgettable!!!!!
              The next day was Valentines day , i get to work(MAMACITAS) and in he strolls in but this time with a bouquet of pink roses and a box  of chocolates! Right then i was melting all over again! i could not wait to see him again!  Love started and that was all she wrote!

on my 18th birthday and the day i graduated high school, he took me to PK up a large mountain and in front of this big wooden cross and asked me to marry him! (after of coarse he asked my daddy) and then our journey began!engaged in may married by Aug!

8 years have passed and he has been making up for that first kiss ever since!

He has cried with me, held me together when we had miscarriages, kept me from falling into pieces, and when i do fall into pieces he always has the right glue to put me back together! he prays with me and for me,
he has spent many a nights up with a screaming baby just for a can catch a few zzzz's, he has slept with his newborn baby on his chest fighting back tears if pure joy! thanking me for a precious gift only a wife and a mother can give, he can send chills down my spine by a simple touch! he still holds my hand any where we go! he tells me loves me every single day! he still makes me gitty when he comes home from work!
no one loves me more than my husband, i can be in the worst mood and treating everyone around me horribly and he finds a way to make laugh or feel good about my self, he picks me up when i am down, he holds me tight at night (when we dont have 20 kids in our bed)!lol he loves me fat or thin, pimples or clear skin, he loves my stretch marks and my beauty marks! he supports every decision i make! on very rare occasions he tells me NO! He is the most amazing father i have ever seen, no one loves there children more than he loves his!He never misses a game, he never misses a beat, when it comes to parent involvement he makes me look weak! i don't know what i would do with our him in my life! Thank you Jeremy for loving me for 8 years and making me your wife!

ITS BEEN AWHILE

ITS BEEN AWHILE.........

It's been awhile since I have blogged last and I do apologize.  But you have to understand it is officially birthday season for us.  My Daughter will be turning 10 years old on the 22nd. I can not believe time can go by so fast in a matter of a blink of an eye.  You always here older wiser people tell you, enjoy it, it goes by so fast.  We shrug em off thinking yeah right you don't live with almost 5 year old wild child that thinks he is crocodile Dundee?  But the truth is, they may make your head spin like the exorcist 85% of the time, but when you look back it does.....fly by.  

So where to start , Hannah is a SOFTBALL master( in my opinion) lol, completely not interested in cheer leading any more or ballet for that matter, (imagine all the money I could of saved) SIIGHHH oh wells, Her team won 1 st place in wise county 8u last year, but this year the entire team moved up to 10u, which is a good thing cause they play so well together.  Hannah plays short stop by the way! lol NE ways we played in the same tournament this year and we won 2 ND place! which is awesome because all of our girls are 8-9 playing against 10-11 y/o girls! so you can only imagine how awesome they are going to be next year! That was a very long Saturday, 7-6, thankfully my mom watched the baby fore me so she didn't have to be miserable.  long story short, she yet again rocked my world, with grand slams, high ball catching and just plain amazing heart and soul with every moment of each game, (in the 100 degree weather) now that's a true softball queen!

Next is the upcoming 1-0 party!  She has an obsession with American girl dolls, so since we are saving for Florida vacation this year, We agreed on a trip to Dallas Galleria , and maybe a few friends over the weekend before for a MINI slumber party! well... that went out the window very quickly, Hannah is a social butterfly, does not have any enemies (except her brother) and many many BFF!! So 3 friends turned into 4 Friends turned into 5 friends! Grrr, it would of been a few more, but in t case of sharing custody this weekend fell on dad's weekends:) It was def a good time!

Hannah has grown so much,  I was reading Heather's blog the other day, in her experiences of firsts seeing the bean, hearing that heart swoosh, and tears came to my eyes,  Heather was one of the people who came to the hospital to see Hannah the day she was born, i was very drugged,lol but i do remember her and her mom stopping by just to say hi, i will never forget that, .... sorry NE ways my baby will be 10 on Tuesday, we have laughed, cry ed, screamed at each other, but  i love her so much.  I sometimes think, what if..... what if I did not get pregnant ? Where would i be? and it makes me sad, i don't know? I really could not imagine my life any other way? so the real great part of this tale is slumber party was a success, i am officially an awesome mom, (bonus points) and all the girls always love coming to my house! and I love having each of them, so does Asher i might add! (such a player) we did facials, Mani/pedis and crafts! it was really fun, one of the girls told Hannah that she had the best mom ever!  I was laterally lit up with happiness! i really love my kids and love doing stuff, so it was nice to hear, so later on that night Hannah told me thank you gave me a kiss, cuddled up in my lap and said I'm glad your my mom, OMG i wanted to start bawling!  it was def one for my memory box in my brain that i will replay over and over!  

oh yeah BTW i would not of been able to home make 6 pillows(names included), 6 pair of flip flops, 6 picture frames, 6 hair bows, and 6 pedicures/6sets of fake nails,(also painting) with out the help of MY BFF Meg's! Thanks again Girl i would be LOST without you!

The other morning i woke up to find Asher and Rylee both in my bed! it was so cute i had to take a picture!

Another thing that has happened since i last blogged, Rylee now has just enough hair for pig tails!! so excited, just little one in the back, but hey, I'll take what i can get !!

also when I was buying all the Slumber party food at wally world, Asher started giggling and said,:mom, mom come here" as he motioned for me to come closer so he get whisper loudly in my ear, giggling at the same time,... i lean down, already laughing to myself, i know its going to be something crazy,..."Mom, mom (giggle giggle) can i buy a water gun so when the girls come over and i can sneak up on them like a venomous cobra, craw through the grass hide beside the pool, then when the are  playing there girl games jump up and SHOOT EM' right in there butts?" ........................... So how could i say no,? i mean he IS her little brother! isn't that what brothers are good for, pestering the crap out of you! HAHA

one more picture, then i swear I'm done, my baby princess hair is curly, which is strange to me because i have board straight, and so does my mom, (she perms it is guys) , Jerm's is straight but alot of woman on his side do have curly hair! so when her little hair gets wet i think its the sweetest thing in the world!

Birthday Weekend!!

As you all know i was counting down the days til my weekend getaway for my birthday! So i thought i would blogg about it.  It went absolutley exactly as planned, somewhat, and was crazy fun!

First set out about 3:30 in Meg's Mini van! which was an amazing trip! The only downfall was that the short 4 hour drive that it was supposed to be, turned into an almost 6 hour

journey!!!! Between traffic and PEE brakes we finally made it to our hotel room around 9:30 ish?? NOT TO SURE? LOL but i do know that when we finally arrived at DAYS INN the level of excitement went crazy!

I get there to check in thinking i was soooo on the ball, i had reserved my room along with my brother in law's room about a month ago, and so did my girl friends! SO MY LUCK HAVE IT, they have there room but so conveniantly mine had not been reported by priceline..... So i may have turned a little bit of my red neck loose, cause i think the F-WORD may have been used once or twice? not to sure, but the next thing i know "CONVENIANTLY" a King size room WITH a jacuzzi tub opened up just for me!! (got to love it)  so that worked out a ok with us!!

Friday night i had big plans! i'm talking BIG PLANS? #1 i had NO KIDS, #2 A "DD"  for the night and #3 my best gal pals at my side!  SOoooooo you can only imagine my plans of hitting the night, clubbing, partying, going CRAZY!! So i Got my little black dress on that i have not been able to fit in years! Threw on my black high heels! I was looking sexy to the max! So ........................................................................... We went to applebees had a few drinks and ate til we were stuffed and called it a night, Yeah i know what your thinking, but i decided i really was tired, dang those 3 kids!!! ok then moving right along, 

Had an Amazing night alone with the hubster! Let me let you in on a little secret ladies, if you want to happy for the rest of your life get a red neck american to marry you! I have been married for almost 8 years now and i'm TELLING YOU it only gets better with age, (Kinda like Wine) (ironic) but for real, he will work hard for the money, (you know come home with dirty hands)(shut up you know you like it too), work hard at the homestead, be a hell of a father, and hold you like you have never been held before:) Sorry got carried away there for a sec........

N E ways, unfortunatly my big plans of sleeping in did not happen either, you see jeremy is used to waking up at the un godley hour of 4 am every morning so 7 am to him is super sleeping in! so after a private breakfast session we wake up the rest of the gang and head out! 

8 1/2 hours of floating the guadalupe, losing my glasses, getting sung to, bus school bus rides, (with no seat belts i might add) and lots of ice cold beverages, we head to the hotel, maybe going out tonight? maybe not?  Yeah about that def prob NOT! TO Exhausted are you crazy!! so off to dinner we go, then back to the hotel i think we ALL passed out COLD by like 11:00 pm. Sad i know BUT it was so amazingly fun! it was nice to get away and have time alone with my hubby, and also spend some quality time with my bffs!!!!!!

BACK TO REALITY ALL 3 kids have strep, 2 are running fever, the house i spent a whole week on cleaning and scrubing, climbing and conquering mount laundry keeping up with it all, .... is now in total ruins, Mount Laundry has made a miraclous come back, tornando did not miss my living rrom, and where the HELL do ALL these DISHES keep coming from!!  ....OH WELL what ya going to do?  

Proud Moments

My Beautiful Daughter Hannah is so talented in every way!  She is very Passionate about softball and is pretty good if i say so myself! Sometime i wonder about her, school grade wise, but she once again suprised me and touched my heart! She not only passed all her taks test with flying colors, but she got commendable on her writing taks test.  This is what made me think to dedicate this blog to my oldest girl!

She wrote this story in school this year and it made me bawl like a litlle baby!

And of coarse i lamentated it and put the rough draft in Rylee's Baby book! The original copy is proudly hung up in her school! ( so proud):)

"The best day of life" By Hannah Lankford

On September 17, 2010 my mom had a baby.  Her name is Rylee Kim Lankford.  She was born on the 17th day of the month just like my brother Asher.  She has my mom's eyes, dad's chin, my looks, my hair, and mine forever.  When i held her for the first time she giggled, and i started to cry.  Mom says she looks like me when i was baby.  Everyone in the family was there, even my uncle Mike who is the Army, came all the way from El Paso.  I was so joyful when my two year old cousin, Maddock, held Rylee and he was happy, even though he likes being the baby. I heard Rylee from the room that they cleaned her in, i wanted to rescue her. That was the best day of  my life, the day i got my best friend, my baby sister!

She is only in the  4th grade so i think its pretty good! She might not feel so much joy when she is throwing her stuff arouund, or playing in her make up, but i'll always have this to show her how much she loves her, from the moment she held her:)

four wheelers.......

What a weekend!! I'm so ready for this week to fly by so I'm kinda glad the weekend flew by! I had a great one though, usually do. Even though  Jeremy and i ad to work it turned out to be a pretty good couple of days off!!

Friday i had to work til noon, no patients so it went by pretty fast! i always need time to catch up on paperwork and such! About 1 :30 me and my best friend Meghan went to Academy's with Asher and Ry lee. So instead of having to take the whole circus with me it was a nice break!  I only had to yell at Asher like 4-5 X, so hey that;s pretty good, ill take it,it didn't even start storming on us til we got back  into the car to come home. NE ways the whole purpose of this trip was to find A.)Meg some water shoes for THE GUADALUPE TRIP!!YA YA and B.) to find some water resistant bags to carry phones and such in for THE GUADALUPE TRIP YA YA!! If you can't tell I'm pretty stoked about my birthday trip this year!! NO KIDS 2 days floating down the river!! relaxation is only days away! i can already feel the sunburn LOL!  Asher must of been pretty tired cause he passed smooth out on the home, which is not like him at all!! he NEVER sleeps!! EVER only when i hold him down at night and he totally gives up lol  He didn't even let go of his plane that he got at the store! so cute!

So Saturday morning came and went, again only had to work til noonish with our nurse practitioner. very easy going so she is very easy to work.  Fun too i might add!! then back home to do  a rush clean up job on the house! And Jeremy even helped me! amazing right? We had a few friends over and they brought there four wheelers over too. The four wheeler that we just bought is the explanation of the face book posting last Tuesday of " men are so spoiled" i thought jeremy was going to have a break down fit! seriously!?? but it all worked out in the end i guess he got what he wanted, i get to go to Florida for vacation and every body's happy right? WHATEVER... moving on shall we..... He really is a great guy and I feel bad that i get all the little stuff i want for example shoes that i bought at Acadamy, i couldn't just get me some shoes, i mean come on i have 2 girls and it was SOOOO cute that they had a pair in my size, hannah's size and Rylee's size all in the same color!! He usually does not get to go shopping with me and spend money and stupid wants ( NOT NEEDS) so i gave in. He also is THE BEST DAD in the entire world! no, seriously he should of been like a mom or something he is so awesome with all of them, i guess thats why they like him better. so since last tuesday he has been on that thing, with the older 2 non stop, this to shall pass , i know! OH and speaking of them likeing him better, Rylee is supposed to be MY baby! He already has Asher and Hannah that like him better! And i really thought she was going to be my follower, she only lets ME put her to sleep, She crawls across the room just for ME, for 8 long months now i have been coaching the most important word in the American Language..."MAMA"   and guess what that little miss priss blurts out the other day......"DADA.... DADA.... over and over again like she was trying to get a rise out me! woman so manipulative een at such a young age, and she does it right in front of him!! YOu should of seen his face!!! OMG to die for, pure joy it was def one of those moments!! I forgave her though cause she still only wants me 90% of the time maybe she didn't want him to feel un loved !LOL

Sunday Morning church was even more awesome than usual, my best friend meg's got baptized!! Andthe girls had Home made dresses that MATCHED on! so cute! and what perfect opportunity to wear the matching flip flops! SEE i told you they needed them! LOL  So that;s about it! oh I didn;t get raptured on saturday either! LOL i called my brother at 5:30, he lives in mary land, and he said he was still there! but Danah ( my sister in law) and the kids were piles of clothes!! LOL such a jokester~! He also said he thought about going to good will and buying a bunch of old clothes and throwing down town just before 6 pm! LOL WOW now that would of been soooo funny( ONLY DANIEL WOULD THINK OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS)  Danah called me at like 7 last night but i did not hear my phone ring, i called her back and she said, "oh thank goodness i thouhgt you had been ra[tured, Dan said if you got raptured and he didn't he was going to be PISSED!!!!"

Kids tell the truth- (most of the time)

I have been thinking about what i was going to blog about all day today, So many ideas have popped into my head but the best thing I think to get out there (story wise) this year is my frog story!

Any mother of a boy can all tell you the same thing, they are NASTY!!! And (like Men) tend to be great story tellers! Asher is a very literal child with a very vivid imagination! He (so Far) is the one with such an amazing imagination! I come home from work and all he can talk about is this giant frog that is in our pool!! He stretches out his little arms as far as they will go. MOM I'm telling you it was THIS BIG! I'm not telling a lie mom, you know Jesus does not like it when I lie. (thank you to the christian mother's day out!) LOL so I walk over to the pool with him that is about 1 foot deep. (we have not cleaned it out this year yet I might add) its really hard to see the bottom because of all the leaves, so I'm convinced that it was a big toad or something and the story has been stretched.....maybe a little! 

 Next day again after work he is going on and on and on about this Goliath sized super frog and again we walk to the pool side stared at the empty water  for a few minutes and....... nothing.

 As we are getting in the car after Jeremy gets home, to go to eat or something, he IS STILL going on and on about it, Jeremy and I start poking fun and laughing about how big our special guys imagination can be, well all be darn it if as we are walking by the gate where the pool is, he shouts at us, "see look there on the pool ladder, I TOLD  YOU I WAS NOT LIEING"  Low and behold there is a GIANT BULL FROG on the dang ladder edge. The pool got so low so fast who knows how long it had been stuck in there just getting bigger and bigger and bigger!!!!!! So Jeremy and him rush to try and get it while its on the ladder..... no luck the giant jumps into the water and hides in the muck!Jeremy is thinking umm Did you see the size of those frog legs!!! LOL (We are red necks i know) But you can guess from that day for like the next week we were out there with our head lamps and net's trying to catch that sucker.... with no luck!! BUT one faithful afternoon when i got off of work i see my mom coming down the pool steps with a net that you can tell is really weighed down! After putting the pool drainer hose in and the water got down to about 2 inches, she was next to it re arranging stones and she kept hearing,THUMP, THUMP THUMP on the pool wall, She said she almost had a heart attack when she looked over the pool side edge!!! And of coarse my son booked it across our property and immediately went into a very frantic search for just the right bucket to put his new pet in!! I truly believe Asher will be the next Crocodile Dundee!! Or bear Grills! he is such a BOY!!!

Unfortunately, the bull frog got left out side in the Cheetos bucket that was filled with water and jumped out? He was only left alone for maybe 10-20 minutes and then bam gone! (lucky frog) seriously not many of Asher's um "pets" don't get to go see Jesus. Sad but true he is not a gentle creature. LOL

Moral of the story, sometimes and I STRESS sometimes your kids wild stories have some truth to them.  But that does not mean I have to believe the story of a big gorilla in his closet!! He told me one night exact words with his arms up "Mom, SERIOUSLY  I can't sleep in my own room, I mean think about it mom I'm laying there trying to get my sleep on  and then BAM a gorilla jumps out of my closet, i mean what am i supposed to do then?" I swear what a character!!LOL

I AM QUEEN OF CRAZYLAND!!!!!!

OK so I follow a couple of people on my face book with there bloggs! and some i laugh hysterically and some make me bawl like a baby! i love the stories, tales and all the truth to every one! So when i think about it i have so many adventures and laughs with my kids and learn so many new things every day as a parent and as just being a woman i wanted to blog to! To help let people know that they are not the only people in the world that feel like they are Queens or Kings of crazy town.... for instance your not the first person to have to yell at your son in dos chilli's in BOYD TX where everybody knows your dogs name, for the 4th time please stop peeling the gum from under the table and throwing it at your sister.... (so embarrassing) :(  Or your not the only woman in the world that has had to run out the back door at your work bawling your eyes out for some little thing that prob was not that big of a deal!!! MY LIFE is crazy and soooo funny so if your ready for a laugh hi have the perfect picture to start my blogging experience!!!!!

OK so where to start??? hmmm well lets back up to the getting ready process shall we. So my church was having there directory photos taken and I had just given birth to Ms. Rylee about 2 months prior, so after breast feeding her and pumping (didn't want leakage going on and getting on my new turquoise sweater i bought just for the occasion) I dress Rylee in this Zebra dress, ask Hannah to put on the clothes I laid out and go to help my little man Asher get dressed. OF COARSE he is totally disgusted with the "sweater vest" i picked out so from the moment i can wrangle him down to the moment we are stepping into the church he is throwing a fit!!!!! so fast forward to getting to the church, Jeremy is getting the older kids unbuckled and i decide i don't want to carry that heavy car seat, noooo i want to pick her up and hold her!! YEP you guessed as soon as i pick her up and put the sleeping ANGEL on my shoulder BLAHHHHH baby vomit all down my shoulder! ....nice.... so into the bathroom i go whisking me and the baby to a quick spray down, i pass the sitting area and Jeremy is sitting there calmly on his phone, second looking i notice Asher is no where insight??? crap now i still have vomit down my shirt, one kid missing and we are up to get our picture taken in like 10 minutes. Per my wonderful husband, i thought he was with you(got to love that one) sent us both into a panic mode. After many rounds around the church my wonderful middle child is ON THE PLAYGROUND and guess what, stripped the vest and is not a happy camper to be redressed and forced to take a picture. As you can see from the picture he has a smirk on his face and is not to happy to be there.  NOW Rylee is Screaming because she decided that as soon as we were sitting down to take the picture to do  ......."her Business" so that is why Hannah is barely hanging on to her because she is mumbling hurry up hurry up its going to get on me!!  THIS my friends is the free picture we got just for going!! The one that went in the directory is 10X worse NO JOKE!  Remember that baby throw up , well after a quick wipe down it still showed up in the picture and rylee face is totally red and she is noticeably grunting! Asher has his head leaning forward to look around Hannah to see rylee doing his business (laughing hysterically i might add) and Hannah is laughing so hard  because of the "business" taking place her mouth was open?? And the grand part of it all was when she went to show us the picture's , she said politely so which ones would you like to purchase today??? Jeremy and I 's jaws bothed dropped open.
